The Rotary Club of Milimani proudly hosts an annual golf tournament to raise funds in support of its flagship project—education scholarships for underprivileged students. Each year, the Club sponsors 8 to 10 bright and needy students from the Mukuru informal settlements in Nairobi, identified through St. Catherine’s School, located opposite Mater Misericordiae Hospital in South B. Beneficiaries are selected through a rigorous vetting and interview process aimed at assessing both academic potential and the degree of financial need. Once enrolled, the students receive full sponsorship from secondary school through to university—with several having progressed to postgraduate studies, including PhD level, under the program. This life-changing initiative is made possible through partnerships with other Rotary Clubs (both local and international), corporate sponsors, and NGOs.
